Lienz, city of the sun

The city of Lienz has Mediterranean appeal and enjoys more than 2,070 hours of sunshine every year. The spectacular scenery of the Lienz Dolomites provides a wonderful setting for mountaineers, hikers, cyclists and fans of water sports. In winter, visitors are drawn to the well tended ski slopes on the Lienz “sun terrace”, on the Zettersfeld, and on the Hochstein World Cup slope.  

Lienz is the economic and cultural centre of East Tyrol, a welcoming city and a business hub for around 150,000 regular customers from nearby and distant lands. It is also considered a model town for enjoying the good life.
